Race Day Experience

The Race Day Experience begins with an introduction to F1 and the history of Red Bull Racing. Students will engage in a range of activities including:

  • Exclusive Red Bull Engineering task – complete a specially designed engineering activity that has been created by real life Red Bull Engineers. Do you have the skills to join the team?
  • F1 in Schools – Build and race your own car using the specially designed track. The top 3 champions will be crowned on the STEMx podium at the end of the experience.
  • Media – Take part in an interview filming and studio experience. Film your classmates as you take part in a post-race interview and navigate the journalists’ questions.
  • Gaming – Train like an F1 driver and test your reaction times using the same technology as the race team. You will also have access to F1 Drive, where you will race against your peers to set the fastest lap times.
  • Design Challenge – Submit a design for Red Bull car livery or design a special helmet for the team.

A Careers talk will also be delivered to students as part of this experience highlighting the many diverse jobs within motorsport and Formula One.

STEM Experience

Introduction to F1 and making the car go faster as well as building and racing cars whilst working as part of a team. Learn to code and take on the Pit Wall Challenge

  • Exclusive Red Bull Engineering task – Complete a specially designed engineering activity that has been created by real life Red Bull Engineers. Do you have the skills to join the team?
  • F1 in Schools – Build and race your own car using the specially designed track. The top 3 champions will be crowned on the STEMx podium at the end of the experience.
  • Coding Challenge – Use teamwork, communication and coding to drive a Lego vehicle around Monaco or Silverstone. Do it all from behind the Pit Wall and troubleshoot any hazards you encounter.

A STEM Careers talk is also delivered to students so they can learn about all the career opportunities that are available.

Creative Experience

The Creative Experience begins with introduction to F1 and the history of Red Bull Racing. Students will take part in the following activities in this experience:

As part of this experience, a creative careers talk is also delivered to students so they can learn about the exciting creative career opportunities that are available.

Explore our online learning hub, where students can engage with a variety of STEM curriculum-based activities and resources.

The 6-week block learning package and curriculum has been carefully selected and mapped to the National Curriculum for Key Stage 2 (Primary) and Key Stage 3 (Secondary) pupils.


  • Introduction to F1 and the history of the sport
  • The science of racing – Speed, motion, and aerodynamics
  • Engineering and design – Building and testing race cars
  • Math in F1 – Measuring speed, distance, and planning strategies
  • Safety and sportsmanship – Innovative clothing, winning and losing scenarios

  • Introduction to F1 – Key milestones and influential figures, the structure of the sport
  • The science of speed – Physics of racing, and understanding engines, fuels and tyre performance
  • Maths and strategy – Data analysis and telemetry, exploring race strategies, case studies
  • The business of F1 – Economics and sponsorship, ethics and environmental considerations
  • Cultural impact and media – The influence of F1 in media, social media impact, and fan engagement 
  • Project preparation – Students create their own F1 team concept
